We started our week on Tuesday with a trip to St. Andrews State Park and the jetties with Aunt Stacie, Aunt Sarah, Austin, Isaac, Ethan, and Lucas. We stayed for an hour or so and Lauren slept under her tent by Lucas almost the entire time. She is starting to visit the beach or lake more and more and seems to really like the sound of the waves and breeze but definitely doesn't like being too hot, so I take a zip lock bag of water and a cloth to wipe her off every now and again. Tuesday afternoon at dusk, Daddy, Lauren and I went to Aunt Kim's house and pasture to take our first real family pictures. Aunt Kay went with us to help with Lauren. We used Grandaddy's carriage that was used with him 80 years ago. I can't wait to see what Kim has captured of the three of us.
On Wednesday, Lauren and I had a lunch date with Holly, Jackson, Aunt Valerie, Aunt Madalene, Ms. Penny and Grandaddy. We had a great time even though Lauren was mostly fussy at the restaurant; thank goodness Grandaddy was there to work his charm with Lauren. He can stop her crying almost every time.
We had a weekend visit from the Bongiorno's from Orlando! We had not seen Joey, Whitney, JB (4) and Noah (2) since March and Lauren got to meet them for the first time! We had a great weekend but it went by fast. JB and Noah watched Lauren get a bath, we went to Rosemary Beach for the 4 boys to play in the Gulf and we all had a good time visiting. We can't wait to see them again.
Lauren has been extra hungry this week and has been nursing very frequently. I think the 6th Week growth spurt is right on schedule, but prolonged! She also got her first mosquito bite during the night one night this week. Poor baby. :-)
