Lauren is growing daily!! She can now do part of the motions to "Itsy Bitsy Spider" (she'll put her fingers together for the spider and will wave her arms for the rain) and will play with her toes when you say the "This Little Piggy" rhyme. It is so crazy how she picks up little things from us doing it only once or twice. After I change her diaper, I'll say "Let's wash your hands" and she'll hold both hands up and wait for me to rub hand sanitizer on them. Then she'll wave them back and forth and smile really big. She definitely knows that she is a Big Girl and that we love to watch her do Big Girl things and likes it when we praise her. Now, it is almost expected that we should clap, act silly, or wave our hands in the air when she does something big.

...and here it is 3 minutes later. This picture is a very mild version. After 20 minutes or so, she has gotten in to everything in the room and has taken out almost all of the books.

She LOVES books and will look at them often. The most recent problem, however, is that she likes to pull off all of the flaps of flap books!! This has lead to many, many "No, No!! We have to be nice to books!" She'll look at me, jut her lower jaw forward, kick her legs and whine. Not cry...whine. I have no idea where she learned this from. Must be genetic...but from whom? :-) Eric and I are debating this... ha

Love this little shirt given by Aunt Kay, but it is not a good outfit to wear to the grocery store...everybody kept saying "What a cute little boy!" I didn't correct them, but just said "Thank you". I thought it would be easier to just go with the flow. But people...metallic sandals are not worn by boys!

Marley brought Moxie. Lauren likes to look at Moxie and Abby, but doesn't like for them to bark. It really hurts her feelings.

I've said it before, but I love looking in on Lauren after she falls asleep. So cute to see what position she ends up in.

On Tuesday, we went to Mom's Morning Out. We take Bunny just in case she get's cranky since it's during her nap time. On this day, she fell asleep in the swing...with Bunny of course.

Lauren loves wearing hats, headbands and sunglasses! We'll put one on her and she'll feel it on top of her head and then start waving. So cute! She'll keep it on for a while.
We'll see you next week after another weekend at Crystal Lake for Memorial Day!
