June 13-19 Father's Day Weekend

Well, we've completed our 1st full week of swim lessons with Mr. Bill!!  Lauren has had a great week at swim lessons and is actually more dangerous now than she was before class started.  She has the confidence of a warrior but could not save herself if it came down to it.  So...we're going to definitely have to watch out for her any time that we're around the pool!
She has no fear of the water at all though and likes to find dinosaurs and pennies on the bottom of the steps and pool floor.  You have to hold her down so she won't float up, but she can usually grab more than one toy at a time!
 See!
Eric has been swimming her almost every night when he gets home from work and I usually sit on the patio sofa or chair and watch, cheer and admire our little fish.
There's Ethan!  On Saturday, we went to Shipwreck Island to celebrate Lucas's 3rd birthday!  This was Lauren's 1st trip to Shipwreck.
Here's Lucas talking to his MaMaw in Tennessee on the phone.
Eric playing with LEB, Ethan and Isaac...it looks like a very serious conversation to me!
If Lauren could vote on her favorite thing to do, it would be hanging out with her 4 boy cousins.
(Although I'm in none of these pictures, I should make note that this outing was the very last day that I will be wearing a bikini out in public while pregnant...I was asked by one couple if I was 1. having twins, 2. had the wrong due date, and 3. if I knew that I was very big for 18 weeks.  Oh, The NERVE!!!!  If I hadn't so bad that day being out in the sun, I would have thought it was funny...but I felt like an 80 year old lady and I DID NOT THINK IT WAS FUNNY!!)  Anyway...

Lauren, surprisingly, didn't like the kiddie area or the lazy river ride.  What she did like was the big kid rides--the mats and the big inner tube family rapids ride.  I guess she's like her mama and has the need for speed!

Happy Birthday, Lucas!!  Eric, Lauren (almost 2), Ethan (5), Stacie, Lucas (3), and Austin (10)
Swimming to Austin at Shipwreck.  We left Shipwreck Island after lunch and drove to Crystal Lake for cousin Jackson's 2nd birthday party!  No pictures :-(  but Lauren had a fun time playing with the kids there.  It was a full day (mommy's pregnant belly was very, very tired by the time we got home) but a fun day full of family time!
On Sunday, we went to church in PC and then drove to Chipley for Father's Day.  Lauren gave Eric a Swim Trainer for the pool (swim laps in a stationary position using this device--it's pretty cool!) and a painting of her hands and feet.
We also celebrated Lucas's birthday with a cake!
Happy Father's Day, Eric!!!!
