Mommy's Photo shoot

The weather has been awesome, so I grabbed the camera and a blanket and Lauren for a photo shoot or two. It's no "Aunt Kim" photo shoot, but still cute! ;-)

Week 14: 9/25/09-10/05/09

This week started with Lauren's first football game: Thomas Jay's ballgame in Chipley. He plays on offensive AND defense on the "A" Team (and he is only a 6th grader). Lauren only lasted until half time but she enjoyed the nice night air and can't wait to watch him play again! Go Blue Devils...and GO THOMAS! Yay! (Daphne, do you recognize the blue shirt?!)
Nan and Dick brought Francis and Heather by to meet Lauren on their trip from Studio City, CA. We enjoyed the visit; thank you for coming by!
We also spent Tuesday with cousin Jackson. I don't have pictures (I left the camera in Panama City...bad mommy!) but will hopefully post some when I get them from Holly. You should see the difference in size of Jackson and Lauren's hands and feet...huge difference!! Jackson is definitely a macho little boy and will be able to protect little Lauren when they are older! We enjoyed lunch with Aunt Madalene and the two babies were on their very best behavior...they slept. :-)
Daddy was away on a guys fishing trip to Chandeleur Island this past weekend, so us 2 girls kept each other company. He stayed on a boat the entire time which meant that we couldn't talk to him by phone...we missed him so much and was glad when he came home. He said that he missed us but had a good time in Biloxi and catching 80 trout and 12 redfish keepers.
On Friday, we had lunch with Ganny and Grandaddy then enjoyed the nice Fall weather and strolled around downtown Chipley. Grandaddy introduced her the ladies at the bank, one of his building renters, the beauty shop, and Chocolate Gallery.
Lauren hosted her first play date lunch at our house this past Sunday with Bailey and Anna. Bailey is 7 weeks older and Anna is 11 weeks older. The girls barely knew that the others were there, but we momies loved watching them and visiting.
Lauren is continuing to be a happy baby. She makes us so happy and we are constantly amazed at how quickly she is growing and changing. She unofficially weighs 13.5 lbs and is outgrowing the 0-3 month clothing only because of her long torso. She is otherwise very slender and has the skinniest feet! Her personality is so cute, sometimes playful and sometimes bossy and impatient but still cute. She is holding her head up better and stronger than she did even a week ago. We can put her in the Bumbo seat/exersaucer/car for a little longer but it still tires her easily. It's hard work, you know! She is also looking at books when we read to her which is nice.
We are looking forward to being at home next weekend and celebrating Julianne and Todd's wedding.
Welcome back home to your babies: The Ticola's (NC trip), The Koagel's (Hawaii). Can't wait for your blogs to be updated so we can see pictures! And Gigi and Pops (Boston)...Aunt Kay missed you! :-)
Have fun in NOLA: Mary, Kaylee and Ashlynn!
Until next week!
