It's become a fun thing for us to go out to the beach after work on some days. We take nothing with us. No toys. Nothing. We just walk on the beach looking for birds and shells and we'll occasionally put our toes in the water (it's getting a little chilly although the water still feels so good.). And we only stay 45 minutes or so and then back home in time for dinner.
One of Lauren's new tricks is "jumping". You can ask her to jump and she'll squat down and make the same noise every time. We think it sounds like "down" but she'll pop right back up leaving the ground by only a millimeter or so. :-) She can also do "Ring Around the Rosy" and at the end, she'll plop down at the right time and smile.
Loving the sunset
I pulled out the training potty a couple weeks ago and thought I should start letting Lauren get used to sitting on the potty. I don't take her diaper off but rather just let her sit down while I'm using the potty. Just a little way to get used to sitting for a little bit of time. So far, she can sit for 1.5 seconds. ha. But it's so cute to watch her back herself up to the seat and feel for it before she sits down.
Playing in her cabinet
We took Lauren to her 1st Bay County Fair and met Vivian there with her parents.
Lauren and Vivian looking at the displays
We looked at the hens, roosters and chicks. I think she was a little freaked out by them; she kept shuddering and didn't really show any excitement when she saw them. I guess she thought they were kinda weird or something.
Lauren had her 1st Funnel Cake and then her 1st sip of Mountain Dew. Both at a County Fair...how fitting.
Eric didn't mean to give her Mountain Dew. She kept reaching for his straw and we didn't think she could drink from a straw. So, he put the straw to her mouth. The next thing we knew, she was sucking up soda and loving it. Oops.
Trying to get some more...

Morning time cartoons
Miss Heather found these red glittery shoes for her Halloween Costume! They're adorable and so perfect for her little Snow White dress.

Diaper and red glittery shoes. :-)
We've been trying not to child proof the house and teach her where she can and can not go. But lately, it's becoming more of a battle to keep things inside of cabinets and drawers so we broke down and installed locks on some of the cabinets that make the most mess.
"Yeah, Dada...I think you're doing this right. Good job. Now all I need to do is figure out how to unlock these things!"
Morning cartoons and breakfast before work...
We'll see you next week after we return from our trip to Disney World! Eric has a dental conference!
