Orlando! 4/30-5/3/10

After Daddy got off work Thursday afternoon, we drove down to Orlando for a long weekend!  We were so excited to go visit all of our dearest friends, let Lauren hang out with her cousins and Eric got to meet Kaylee and Ashlynn for the first time.
Lauren was a superb traveler and it definitely helped that we drove in the early evening.  We stopped in Tallahassee for dinner at Cracker Barrel (Lauren had green beans, stewed carrots, chicken and dumpings and a biscuit) and then continued the remaining 4 1/2 hours.  We arrived at 1am EST and Mary and I stayed up until 4am changing diapers and holding and feeding the babies.  Kaylee and Ashlynn are 13 weeks old and each weigh in the upper 9 lbs and they were bigger than I was expecting them to be!  They are so healthy and beautiful and I missed them so much!  That 1st night was the longest that Mary and I had gotten to talk since the girls had been born and it felt so good to be back in O-town...
The next morning, we started playing and just watching our girls interact.  Lauren was beside herself...she LOVED looking at K and A.

"Hey Ashlynn, I like your play mat!"
the daddies

It was a beautiful day outside...Lauren loves the swing...
All 3 girls are growing so fast!!  Too Fast!!

Kaylee playing with her rattle
Ashlynn makes the sweetest faces
Who would have guessed that Lauern would have been jealous!  She wasn't like this the entire the weekend, but she definitely had her moments when she wanted to be the only baby in mommy's lap.
"Kaylee, I'll stand right here and wait for you to get your pants changed"
"How did both of you fit in there?!?!"
It's so hard to remember Lauern as a 13 week old.  I miss the infant times...wish I had held her more...
On Friday night, we all 7 of us strolled to Lago's for dinner.  On the way, we waved at the ducks.
TABLE FOR 7, PLEASE!  Lago was having a Kentucky Derby party while we were there.  Women were dressed in nice dresses and big, pretty hats.  I'm sure that when we strolled up to the front door they secretly thought we were silly for being there.  BUT...all 3 girls were so good!  The staff had to be impressed with our parenting skills.  :-)  ha.  Kaylee slept in the stroller, Ashlynn sat in Mary's lap quietly and looked around and Lauren sat in the high chair and ate and ate and ate!
"Yeah, we've got the greatest girls..."
After dinner, we sat by the lake.  Lauren liked watching the other children.

Playing by the lake.  We have started being a little more rough with LEB.  She loves to go up in the air.

Visiting with Aunt Mary on Saturday morning
"Good morning, girls!"
Ashlynn practicing tummy time
No, it wasn't cold...it was so hot!!  I opted to put her hat and sweater on for the short time we were outside instead of sunblock.
1st see-saw
Eric and I took Lauren to the mall for an inside stroll because it was so hot outside.  Trying on hats at Gymboree.
Happy little girls...
Kaylee
Relaxing in her crib and looking at the mobile
"Come on, Ashlynn!  Wake up so we can play!"
Lauren took her 1st dip in a pool on Saturday.  She loved splashing in the water and swinging back and forth.
So much attention...
"See my 2 teeth?  I have another one coming through on the bottom right!"
"I loved swimming in the pool, Daddy!!"
Kaylee enjoying the outside
"Kaylee, I can't wait until next summer.  We are going to have so much fun swimming!"
We went to our old church, First Presbyterian, and Lauren stayed in the nursery.  The nursery workers reported that Lauren was a very good, happy baby.  Well, when we got to lunch at The Briarpatch we realized why.  They had given her ALL of the puffs I had put in the diaper bag!  No worries though.  Lauren's belly still had room for lunch.  Here she is enjoying her zucchini bread with cream cheese...seriously, she really liked it.
After strolling in Winter Park, we went to Noah's 3rd birthday party at his house!!  We were so excited to see The Bongiorno's!  Unfortunately, JB was sick and had to stay inside for most of the party. :-(
Lauren having a fun time in the pool!
We got to meet Katherine Hayes for the 1st time.  She is 3 weeks older than Lauren.  Such a cutie.
"Ooooh, Daddy...this is so much fun!"
"AAaaahhh, this is the life.  Could someone bring me the sippy cup?!"

Katherine likes it too

"Happy birthday to Noah!"
Later that night, Mary and I somehow ended up feeding the girls on the floor in the kitchen...
Picture time before getting on the road to go home...
"Kaylee, let's hold hands"

"Wait, Ashlynn...sit right there"

"Okay, Kaylee...now get ready to smile"

"Oh gosh, let's get it together"
"Say cheese!"
