1/17-20/11--Meeting Baby David! Feeding the Goats, and the Beach at Sunset

Lauren turned 21 months this week.  The above picture is of her watching "A Bug's Life" and talking to the characters with one arm waving in the air.  I'm sure she was giving good important advice!  Her bossiness is really coming through, at times.  Uh-oh...
Monday was Art Class, of course.  Duncan has started preschool MWF, so he is missing out on Art Class but we have a new addition to our group. Olivia!  Olivia and Lauren were born on the same day at the same hospital...crazy, huh!!  And we've never met!
During Lauren's Tuesday with Miss Heather, they went to feed the goats since Library time was cancelled.
Can't you tell she is loving it?!
 "You silly goats...eat your bread!"
The "Lauren smile".  So sweet to her mama...
Our dear friends Susie and Tony Koagel welcomed little David Alexander to their family on December 21, 2010.  Baby David has two big sisters, Gabby and Fia, and they are all so, so, so sweet!
Well, Captain Susie--the prettiest Endodontist the US Army has ever seen-- is on maternity leave for a little while and she surprised us with a call the other day saying that she and David would be available for a little play date while she was visiting with her parents in Enterprise!  So, we met half way and spent the majority of Wednesday at Gigi and Pop's house in Chipley meeting Baby David.
For the most part, Lauren was just as happy to watch TV as to play or look at Baby David, but she did enjoy touching "baby"'s feet and legs.  It's so hard to remember LEB as this little!  And it was so much fun holding and snuggling with a newborn again!
We had lunch downtown and while David napped in his carrier.  Lauren was a good little girl (as good as she could be...) and I enjoyed catching up with Susie so much.  I wish we lived closer but their current stay at Ft. Benning is so much better than the other posts in El Paso, North Carolina, and Seattle!
Thank you, Susie, for meeting us in Chipley!!!  I can't wait to cuddle with your little man again...hopefully soon!!!
The weather is starting to turn even though it's still cold so we decided to go out to the beach for a little 30 minute walk.  Lauren wouldn't wear her coat, but rather wanted her scarf...and only her scarf.  It wasn't too cold (and I figured that she probably needed practice for our upcoming Colorado trip) so we let her go without the coat.
 The sunsets are just beautiful

 "The Look Back"
Oh, makes my heart pitter patter.  I hope I remember how sweet and special these kind of moments are when she's my age...

Ready for Church!
"Shopping" in Best Buy after church Sunday.  She loves "Finding Nemo" and fish tanks...this TV display looked like the real thing.  :-)

1/9-16/11--All of our Extracurricular Activities

This week was a "back to normal" kind of week for Lauren, which is nice.
Monday: ART Class
"Dab, Dab, Dab"  Lauren will say this when she's painting with a brush or this "dot maker" (I don't know what it's called).  It's cute though.  She'll also say it when she dips french fries or chicken in her ketchup.

A little snack time before leaving ART.
Tuesday: Library Time
Lauren has moved up to the next class this month with the 18months-3year old kids.
Playing on the computer at the Public Library.
"So serious"
Tuesday night: Parent's Night Out at Kindermusik
Cleaning the walls with sponges to one of the songs.
She can now do the motions to "I'm a Little Teapot", "Here's a cup", and "Rise Sugar Rise" and she loves for me to do the motions to the "Washing Machine" song.

We are clothes in a washing machine.
We wiggle and giggle until we're clean. (Repeat)
Then mommy shakes us out until we're dry
and hangs us on a line so high.
She also likes "Our Time Hello" and "Go Into the Kitchen".
Tonight was a an extra class for all of the daddies and working mom's to come and watch their kiddos show off.  We LOVE Kindermusik!
