May 3-9, 2010

We returned from our trip to Orlando on Monday afternoon and settled in quickly to begin our next week.  Aunt Kay was out of school this week and came down for a visit.  We shopped at Pier Park...

and tried on hats...

ate ice cream and yogurt...

and visited with almost everybody we saw!  Lauren is quite the social butterfly and never meets a stranger.  She doesn't even act shy but rather gets so excited when ANYBODY pays attention to her.

We walked on the Pier and watched the surfers...

and had more fun shopping.  Also during this visit Aunt Kay and I noticed that Lauren started holding up the phone to her forehead with both hands.  I don't have a picture of this but it was so cute!  I didn't realize that I talked on the phone a lot, but apparently I do because she had to have learned it from somewhere.  We then started saying "Ring, Ring...helLO"!  and whenever we said it she would hold up the phone.

On Wednesday, we helped Mama Lee park her motorhome at a vacation spot at the beach.  Aunt Tami, Uncle Bill and us 3 ate dinner at Red Robbins.  It was 8:30pm by the time we left the restaurant and Lauren was still going strong.  Sweet, poor baby.

I love seeing how she falls asleep.  Now that she crawls around after I put her down for a nap, I'm always curious to know how she ends up.  She desperately needs bunny to fall asleep easily still.  I also try to put a doll or two in the bed with her too.  No reason...just do.  :-)

Having ravioli from the Kids Menu at Angelina's.  She ate 3 of 4 ravioli's.  I seriously don't know where all the food goes.  She eats so much to be so thin.

Ready to go meet Daddy for lunch...sometimes this is the highlight of our day

On Friday, we hosted a tent at Friday Fest in Downtown PC

Lauren was so lucky to meet the Tooth Fairy!!

"I love you, ToothFairy...almost as much as I love my Aunt Kay!"

We were so lucky to have the ToothFairy come visit with the kids

Two of Lauren's friends came by the table for a visit--Vivian and Bailey

We came home, and "poof"!  Aunt Kay appeared!!  She cut Daddy's hair while I watched from the tub

On Saturday, we took the boat to Shell Island with Grandma, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Lance, Aunt Stacie, Uncle Gabe, Lucas, Ethan, Isaac, and Austin.  Lauren had a good time being outside and in the water with all of her cousins.

"Da-Da...I love you and your boat"

She likes to crawl OVER anything...including legs

Isaac resting on the beach...he didn't feel so well

Austin found a baby octopus vs baby starfish  ??

That night Emily and a friend came over to sit with Lauren while we went out to eat (just the 2 of us...gasp!) at Firefly to celebrate 1 year of Eric's office being open to patients (May 8, 2009) and then to a Cinco de Mayo party.

The next day, we celebrated Mother's Day!  My first Mother's Day holding my baby!

On Monday, we met Aunt Nan, Uncle Dick, Aunt Nancy and Uncle Walt at Crystal Lake for a visit over lunch.  Nancy and Walt will be leaving next week for the 2nd half of their year in Oregon and we wanted to say goodbye.

Aunt Kay cut Nan's hair while Lauren looks on...she pays attention to everything.  She even started combing her hair.  Big girl stuff...so very much a big girl.

Lauren loves fruit better than any other fruit.  She ate 6 slices of peaches during this sitting--AFTER she had already eaten her Lil Entree.  Her stomach has to be the size of an adult's.

We let her try salsa since she liked it so much at Aunt Whitney's last weekend.

Yep, she likes it!

New game with Daddy...hold me up...

then let me go!

Somehow, she usually ends up like this in restaurant high chairs.  I think because she is constantly trying to wave, smile, squeal at all the people around her.

Sweet Emma.  Taking it easy, her best trait.
My Mother's Day gift from Eric and Lauren is a 3 night/4 day vacation at Rosemary Beach next weekend.  I'm so excited!  One of my favorite places on 30A.  This is such a nice, big, extravagant gift for a Mother's Day gift.  I'm one lucky lady...and I know it.  :-)  I feel very fortunate and blessed to have a thoughtful husband, an actual Mother's Day and to be able to share every hour of every day with my healthy baby girl who is growing by leaps and bounds.

Poor Emma will hang out all by herself, again, but I can't wait to share of our trip during next week's blog.
