Christmas with Nan, Cee, and Uncle Dick 2010

On Wednesday, Aunt Kay, Lauren, Eric and I went to Aunt Nan and Uncle Dick's house to have a little Christmas with them and Aunt Cee!
We had delicious appetizers, oysters, brunswick stew and drinks and enjoyed visiting and opening presents!  Ma (LEB's great-great grandma) was definitely with us that night in spirit as Christmas was with a doubt her favorite holiday!
Note to Lauren: "Dear Lauren, Go into the living room for a surprise present.  From, Santa"
Lauren got a new FSU tricycle!  Tim fashioned the pom-poms on the handle bars and Nan made a license plate (Lauren 6-23-09) on the front.  She loved it!!
The mama and dada were completely surprised, too, and it took me a little while to realize that Lauren really IS old enough to sit and play on a tricycle!  It just seems like such a big girl thing to do!  Had it been left up to me, I probably would have suggested this when she is 4 years old and continued to have her ride around on her newborn toys, but Nan knew exactly what she needs at 18 months.

Aunt Cee and Maggie Belle taking it all in.
We had such a good time hanging out together.  It was a great way to start the Christmas long weekend!

12/13-19/10...Fun in Cold Weather, Friends' Party, and Godfrey Brunch

The cold weather is definitely here in PC!  And we're loving it!  Probably because we know that within a few days, it'll go back to beautiful Sunny Florida weather, but for now we're loving the snuggling and bundling up for outings!
 Puzzle fun at Library time
With Miss Heather coming back from the Library..."wow, that makes me so tired!"
On Saturday, we went over to Destin for some Christmas shopping.  Aunt Kay went with us, and we got A LOT accomplished!
Lauren has learned how to go down a slide backwards....
She loves the playground at Destin Commons.
That night, Anna and her parents hosted a Christmas party at their house.
(doing "Ring around the rosy")
Playing in the kitchen!  I wonder if Lauren will get a kitchen from Santa?  We'll see!
 Vivian with her baby

Lauren gave her friends t-shirts that said "Future KD/DDD/Phi Mu/Cayman Dive Instructor"

So much fun playing with her girl friends.  This is how she often rides in the truck watching TV...one or both arms behind her head. "Ah, the life..."
On Sunday, we went to The Yacht Club for our Annual Godfrey Christmas Brunch.
And yes, we brought the DVD player.  Don't judge...
 Jackson!
 The babies
Lauren likes jumping off benches, couches, chairs now.  Thankfully, she won't do it unless someone is there to catch her, but I doubt this safety mindedness will last long.

 Walking with Pops
 All of us
Ganny and Grandaddy with their family
(We missed Tyler.  And Mel and Dustin...they were in NYC.)
 Aunt Madalene with her family
(We missed Hunter...he was in NC skiing)
Nan and Dick with their family
(we missed Nancy...she was in Pensacola)
Enjoying a beautiful day by the bay

We have a few more things to finish up our Christmas shopping and we'll be done!
Merry Christmas to everyone!  We'll catch up after Christmas!!

Christmas in Orlando 2010

"Southwest, it's me.  Yeah, I'm on my way again.  See you in 25 minutes. Bye."
On Friday morning, we headed out for Orlando to spend a fun 4 day weekend with our 'extended family'.  :-)
Our 55 minute flight was LEB's worst yet.  She got 2 spankings in 30 minutes.  Yep.  Eric and I decided that we really did need the DVD player with us instead of being packed away in the checked luggage.  Lesson learned.
We arrived late morning and wasted no time in getting started having fun!  Mary and I left with Lauren in her car while Mark and Eric drove with Ashlynn and Kaylee in his car and we all left for Downtown Disney to see Santa!
I didn't even try to put Lauren in his lap since our 2 previous visits with Santa in the past 3  weeks proved to be not-so-successful.  So, Eric and I got in the picture with her for a family pic. We started out by giving him a high five...
and we left blowing him a kiss.
It was chilly but a beautiful night.
 Picture time at home!
"Lauren, you think I should smile now?" asks Kaylee.
 My 3 favorite girls...

Watching Baby Einstein's and getting ready for bed.  Lauren learned on this trip that sitting in a bouncy seat is so awesome!  She got in them as much as she could all weekend long. Actually, I wished there was one in an adult size!
Saturday morning...taking it easy watching Mickey Mouse.
Lauren loved playing with the girls in their playroom.  She definitely enjoyed the company of a constant friend through out the entire day...
"Hello, Aunt Kay!?  Hey!  Yeah, I'm having fun.  Very busy though.  Lots of playing going on.  Yeah, I saw Santa.  No, I didn't sit in his lap.  Mommy didn't make me.  But I gave him a high five, lightly.  Better go.  Busy.  Love you too.  Bye."
LEB's fruit plate AFTER her dinner.  And yes, she ate all of it.  Crazy, I know.
All 3 girls at dinner time with Ms. Betsy.
Betsy and Miss Lauren stayed with the girls so we could go out for our annual Ashy-Bongiorno-Berry Christmas dinner!  We went to Luma on Park Avenue and enjoyed visiting and eating great food.
Whit and I on the ave.
 The annual photo!
And again...I wonder what we will all experience before we take next year's photo?!

Ashlynn and Lauren eating breakfast and watching Mickey, of course.
 Naptime for LEB, A, K, Dada 1 and Dada 2.  :-)
On Sunday afternoon, we loaded the car with our bundles of joy and went for an afternoon Christmas visit to JB and Noah's!
"Kaylee, let's hold hands."  Lauren couldn't see her but she kept reaching for Kaylee's hand.  So cute...
By the time we arrived 15 minutes later, Lauren had both shoes off and Kaylee was playing with one.

Opening gifts with JB and Noah
Boys, you guys pick out the coolest gifts.  Musical coloring pad AND a LIttle People Nativity Set!  LIttle People are so much fun.

Snack time...

"Lauren, may I please have a puff?  I'm craving one!"
"Yeah, here ya go."
"Noah, you're so big!" says Kaylee.
Us with all of our babies
After a fun BBQ dinner in College Park, we drove to MGM to see the Christmas lights.
Another chilly night!  Perfect for Christmas lights!
This is how Ashlynn saw the lights for the majority of the time...but I think she liked it this way!  She was very content!
"Even the tram is fun, Dada!"

The girls loved their 1st Christmas Lights event.  A and K were mesmerized...

"Dada, I could do this all day and never get tired of it..."

We got back and decided it was time for a short photo session.
"We are wearing our neat-o matching penguin sweater outfits, after all."
I think Lauren took "photo session" to heart and started posing...I didn't even know she knew how to do that!

Can't you tell that Lauren is having fun with her friends?

"Mommy, she's crazy.  She just told me that Santa is coming in 2 weeks.  Is that true?  Crazy sista..."

"Here, girls.  I think you need a baby doll up there with ya."
Now it's time to open presents!

 Watching Baby Einstein's before bed...
Our last morning playing together...I've had so much fun.  When I come back, it'll be your 1st birthday!!  Can't wait!!
Saying good-bye to Mickey in the airport...and we remembered to take the DVD player on board the plane.  Much better return flight thanks to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
