Lauren is enjoying ALL of her Christmas presents and is well past the teddy bears, soft blankets, newborn toys and is definitely on to Big Girl Toys! It is amazing to watch her develop fine motor skills as she turns the pages of her sing along book, punch the keys on the piano, strum the ball that rolls on the piano board to start a new song or hit any part of a toy to restart music or lights. And to think I thought she was having fun laying on her back playing with a rattle! Silly mommy!
This is how I set her up: pillow in the back for the just-in-case she tumbles backward fall (which is still a scary, break-down type of cry if she falls directly on the floor), piano to her right, piano in front, stuffed bunny to her left, musical puppy somewhere in a corner and a few pick-up toys/teethers in her lap. It works perfect...imagine that! She has everything at her reach! EXCEPT, when she sees me walk past her and she realizes that is all by herself. Then the crying and sometimes tears start.
Lauren had photo shoot with Genya from VUE Photography here in Panama City. I scheduled it for 11:00am, just after her morning nap and just before a gas/stomach ache producing lunch. It was great timing and Lauren was fantastic for the entire hour we were shooting pictures. I will post pictures when I get the CD. I absolutely love how that turned out.
After returning home, we went outside to lay in the backyard and enjoy the cool weather. The trees in our backyard have tons of moss for Lauren to watch swaying back and forth.
On Sunday afternoon, Lauren, Daddy and I went to Hunt's Oyster Bar before we 2 girls leave in the morning for our trip to Orlando (and Lauren's first plane ride).
