Lauren turned 10 months old this week and continues to change weekly. We have started serving her Gerber Lil Entrees since she absolutely refuses to eat baby jar vegetables and there are times when our meal isn't something that she can eat. But what usually happens is she will start eating the Lil Entree and then want what we have. As far as the Lil Entrees go, she has tried Ravioli, Chicken and Rice, Chicken and Mashed Potatoes, Spaghetti O's and the side vegetable that comes with it.
I usually feed her the food with a spoon, but on this particular day I needed to do something in the kitchen while she ate so I cut the Ravioli into smaller pieces and let her feed herself...this is what happened! She loved the messiness though...
She LOVES carrots but doesn't always want to eat her peas. This is the look we get when she is either full, doesn't want a certain food or something else that we can't figure out what she wants. Thank goodness the chair padding is washable!
On Thursday night, we went to Chipley to watch Austin play baseball. He plays Right Field. Lauren had a good time visiting with Pa and her cousins.

Aunt Kay couldn't stand the thought of Reny being so close, so she dropped by for a visit at the ball field.
After the game, we all went to KC's for pizza. All the boys wanted to hold Lauren. She loved being with them.
On Friday afternoon, Lauren and I went to the Panama City Honda dealership to witness that sweetest site! Emily turned 16 and was surprised by her Nan, Papa and parents with a brand new Honda Accord. She was so, so surprised and we are so proud for her. Emily is one of the kindest, sweetest girls I know. The above picture is of the two of us hiding in the bushes outside that dealership and trying to sneak inside so Emily wouldn't see us. It was fun!

On Saturday, we went to Bailey's 1st birthday party at her house. Lauren chillin' in the backseat on the way there. It doesn't take long before she takes her shoes off...
Noah (4) playing with Lauren and being so sweet and protective. He is a doll!!
The birthday girl!!

On Sunday, we visited a new church and Lauren went to the nursery. The nursery workers bragged and bragged on how sweet and happy she was during the service...talk about making a new mama proud! I didn't know such a compliment on a 10 month old would make me feel that way!
We had a surprise visit from Grandma and Pa on Sunday afternoon. So we went to Bass Pro to shop around a little bit. Lauren helping Daddy pick out lures and hooks.
She loved watching the big fish. I think it's time we find an aquarium to visit!
Lauren and Pa playing around.
Have I mentioned that our little 40% for weight baby can eat like a big girl?!?!? I ordered a Jelly sandwich (I'm still not sure when I can start giving her Peanuts, so I left it off...I need to research that) for her and she at the ENTIRE sandwich! I took a picture as proof...

We then went to Rosemary Beach for little bit of ice cream and look at the beautiful beach.
It was a gorgeous day and we had a fun time with Grandma and Pa.
We have no huge plans this next week except to get ready for our trip to Orlando next weekend. We are looking forward to it!
I've heard 1 for eggs and 2 for peanuts, but when I did a quick web search, nothing real definitive showed up. The older the better for peanut butter because of the potential choking hazard, but unless she's got a finicky system, waiting to avoid the development of an allergy is an old thinking I guess. I've always done the above advice and so far my girls have been ok. I know, it seems like waiting until 2 is like forever! I thought that, too, and maybe Gabby had a nibble of it before then, but I can't be certain.
ReplyDeleteLauren has the look like she's ready to "roam" on her feet. At her pace, she'll be walking before she turns 1! She's getting so big with an even bigger personality!
