We took advantage of an overcast day and an afternoon at home and let Lauren play in her Whale Baby Pool. She had the best time. Dada was so sweet and thought the water was way too cold, so he brought 3 buckets full of warm water from the bathtub. Lauren is very well-taken care of by her Daddy. Mommy probably would have just let her swim in the cool water. :-)
She thought it was so funny that water would shoot up and played with the spout for a long time.
Lauren has learned how to smile on command! It is so cute! Most of the time, she'll squint her eyes and give a huge grin. And she'll even do it just by getting the camera ready. She definitely knows what the camera is for!
Tuesday afternoon, all of Lauren's cousins came over! She had so many kids to play with! And the three sweet Creech girls were with them. They had all been at the beach playing and needed a place to shower before heading back out for a family photo session.
Lauren had so much fun!
Here they are! The Berry boys and Creech girls!
Wednesday after work, we decided to take Lauren out to St. Andrews State Park for a swim.
It's so pretty and calm there.
Lauren is definitely not afraid or put off by the sand. It does not seem to phase her.
Afterwards, we went to Flamingo Joe's for a delicious hamburger. I don't normally like hamburgers but these were really good!
Lauren really liked them too.
Playing in "her" cabinet. Not walking yet, but she has no problem pulling up and cruising with furniture.
On Saturday night, we hosted a "Country Cookin'" dinner for The Baby Club. We had steaks, chicken and dumplins, field peas, creamed corn, fried okra and squash, hoe cakes and strawberry cake. I think we went through 1-1/2 bottles of oil. Serious country.
Lauren always has fun with her friends.
I'll leave you with a few smiles and we'll keep trying to catch up from our summer of fun with Lauren.
