9/7-12/10

This was a somewhat laid back week for us.  Just hanging around the house Tuesday-Thursday.
I can't remember why this was such a messy and then sad meal for LEB (wish I could!) but she has these kinds of moments from time to time. Who knows...

Dada went fishing after work and Lauren helped him get his gear together.

The sunset he saw.  Looks beautiful over the bay.

On Thursday, Lauren started Kindermusik!  She wore her most "Kindermusik-esque" outfit and had a good time!  Miss Heather went to but no pictures to share.  She was, I have to say, the teacher's pet.  Every little instruction she gave, Lauren followed right away.  "Come sit on the blanket for story time", "sit down and clap your hands"...whatever it was, Lauren was doing it!  We'll have to get pictures and video of future classes.  She'll go once a week for 10 weeks.  Her friends Bailey and Duncan are in the class with her.  This is perfect for Lauren...lots of music and dancing!

That afternoon, Lauren played in the yard with Dada.
Here, he's showing her how to run.

"dirty.  let's wipes your hands off."

We realized that it was one of the few times she has ever really walked in grass...a hard feat for little legs!

Discovering her shadow!  It was so cute!

Mommy peeping in on Lauren after she fell asleep.

On Friday, LEB and I went to Tallahassee to take my car for routine service.  While we were there, we met up with Aunt Kay!
We picked her up at her dorm and then went to MoMo's pizza....yum.  Then to the KD house for KK to introduce LEB to friends...and for some ice cream in the dining room.

Kaitlin gave us a tour and guess what we found: gigi!  Gigi lived in the house 3 years...3 different rooms.  Very neat to see.

Just chillin' upstairs

I wonder if Lauren will hold Aunt Kay's baby in front of this mirror one day?  hum?!

We then went back to the dorms and just hung out.  Lauren loved Kaitlin's bed...

and played and played...

and played.

Lauren meeting Kaitlin's roommates.  Lately, she has gotten really shy in some situations like this and will bury her head in my lap or leg and hide while smiling.

"Lauren, sit down and I'll give you a snack."  So, Lauren sits down!  She understands EVERYTHING!

"Listen, Reny.  This is what you need to do to get to go to college."

"Aunt Kay, I can't talk about that right now...I've to take a call.  Oh, it's for you."

"Let me talk to them."
We had a fun time being with Aunt Kay.  It had been 5 weeks since LEB and KK had seen each other and it was hard to say good-bye.

Lauren and I drove back to Chipley where we spent the night at Grandma and Pa's.  Eric and I drove to Gainesville the following morning to watch the UF game while Lauren played with Ethan, Isaac, and Austin all day.  Isaac even got to spend the night Friday night with us.  She had such a fun time with the older boys.

Watching cartoons Saturday morning

At the swamp on a balmy 98 degree game.  The humidity had to have been 90% with a heat index of 110.  It was HOT. But we had a fun day time date together and drove back to Chipley that afternoon.
