10/13-17/10 FSU Game and Playing at Park

Having a tea party with Grandaddy.
New milestone this week: Lauren says "Uh-oh" whenever she drops something.  She isn't saying too much else so this was a big step!  She has actually regressed in the vocabulary area as she doesn't say "mama" or "emma" anymore and only says "Da-Da".  Dada means mama and "I'm awake!  Come and get me!"  when she yells it from her crib.
On Saturday, we went to Tallahassee for Lauren's 1st FSU ballgame!  We watched a good game against Boston College and Lauren was as good as she could have been.  There was a lot of playing under the stadium and eating her picnic lunch and packed snacks.
Her favorite part was definitely watching the Band and seeing Osceola and Renegade run on the field.
with Gigi and Aunt Kay!
Our Favorite FSU Cheerleader...Allison!
Snacking under the stadium
And making new friends.  LEB has NO problem meeting new people, especially other children.
And snacking some more.
This was also Parent's Weekend, so after the game we went to the KD house to have a BBQ lunch with Aunt Kay.

OMG!  There's Gigi!

It was a very long day for Lauren and she was exhausted by the time we started home.
The fussiness and extra lethargy she experienced at Disney World ended up being Fifth's Disease.  She broke out in a rash on her face, neck and upper chest on Friday but seemed to be happier and had had no fever in almost 48 hours.  I called the Pediatrician to "ask permission" to take her to the FSU game the next day even though she had a rash (which we were thinking was a result of the chicken pox vaccine 2 weeks prior) and she said that if she had no fever and felt fine, we could take her.  Well, having her out in the sun exacerbated the rash and by the time we got to the KD house, she was really splotchy.  I took her to see Dr. Rachesky on Monday and she confirmed that her fever last week along with this characteristic rash was indeed Fifth's Disease.  No treatment needed.  Apparently, she was most contagious when we were in Orlando and when she developed the rash, it marked the end of her ability to transmit the disease.  So, wonderful...we infected Disney and didn't even realize it.
Sunday afternoon...
we went to a park to run outside and play...
just hanging with Dada...
and playing hide-and-go-seek...
hiding from Mommy!!!
