Lauren E. Berry turned 11 months old this week! She is growing and developing so fast that some of the things she is doing is surprising us so frequently! And for some things, despite the fact that I have been trying to teach her something, it takes Eric doing it ONCE for her to actually perform and do it. For instance, I have been practicing "So Big" with Lauren for over a month and this week Eric started doing "How Big is Lauren? Soooo big!" and wouldn't you know, she responded to him after only a few times! She'll hold up both arms above her head and then start to clap with a big bright open-mouthed smile.
She has the biggest personality too. Smiles at strangers when we're running errands and loves to see people that she recognizes. She'll also wave to just about anyone who'll pay attention to her.
Playing with Daddy outside the office
Yeah, so the Puffs container is NOT childproof. She was very proud of herself. I keep a bottle of Puffs in the play room and one day I knew she had been extra quiet (she talks to her stuffed animals and herself a lot) and I came in to find her doing this.
On Friday, we helped host a fish fry fundraiser for Steve Southerland. Lauren had a good time being outside, eating yummy food and hanging out with her friends. It was a great event. Lauren's first political outing.
Mommy and I wearing our bikinis.
Playing on Daddy's boat before having to put on the life jacket. She is not fond of her life jacket.
Lauren has been excelling at walking behind her push toys and started cruising this weekend at Crystal Lake around the coffee table. I wonder how much longer before she starts walking. I hope a little while longer. :-) I NEED her to stay my little baby for as long as possible. :-)
Strutting her stuff. She kept her sunglasses on for quite a while this day. It was so funny.
Mommy needed extra time to fix dinner, so Lauren got to play in the refrigerator. Lauren was teething big time this weekend. Very fussy and tons of drool. The fridge was very entertaining, thank goodness.
Remember when I said that Eric can get her to do some things that I can't even though I've been "teaching" for many weeks? Well, it happened again with blowing kisses!
Cousin Jackson came over to play while we were at the lake and we discovered that they do not enjoy sharing toys! Jackson was playing with Lauren's laptop when she was across the room. She saw him and came crawling over to him, squealed at him, pushed the laptop away and started crawling off with it! Oh my heavens...
Aunt Val playing
Sweet Aunt Val...
Cutest little flip-flopped feet at the lake...
Granddaddy and Lauren visiting on the beach
Lauren started crawling towards the house and just kept going. We had to call her back to get her to turn around.
My patriotic brownie cake!
On Memorial Day, Lauren hosted a lake party for her friends. Bailey playing with her mommy.
Lauren playing with Noah and Christian.
Vivian and Noah playing on the tube. It won't be too long and they'll be going behind the boat!
Kirsten feeding Anna and Lauren watermelon. It was a huge hit!! Both girls couldn't get enough.
Aaahhhhhh, my paradise...always has been, always will be. Crystal Lake...
