On New Year's Day, we went to Chipley to be with Pa for his birthday!
Happy Birthday, Pa!  We just hung out all afternoon with Grandma, Pa, Uncle Lance, and Aunt Sarah.  Nice, nice day.
Ready for church!  Mommy picked out the dress, Dada picked out the shoes, and Lauren picked out the newborn head band.  :-)
And off we went, with our raincoat on.  (zoned out again watching TV in the truck)
The afternoon, we decided that we would try taking Lauren to a movie!  Tangled!  We thought that whenever she got fussy or restless, we would just leave.  We watched all of the previews...
and ALL of the movie!!!!  We were amazed that she would sit there for that long!  The movie was 1-1/2 hours long plus about 20 minutes of previews!  She sat in her own seat, took her boots off after the 1st 20 minutes or so (just to get comfy, ya know) and would stand up every now and again (just to stretch, I guess) but never asked to get down and walk and was AWESOME the entire movie!  I watched her more than I watched the movie.  At one part, the horse was running really fast and Lauren started laughing...I guess she thought it was funny! We will definitely be doing it again!!  (Bunny went to the movie too)  We let her walk out by herself and she was babbling almost non-stop.  It was like she was talking about the movie and telling us that it was so good!  :-)
One of LEB's favorite things to do...play with her blocks...and her dada.

 Practicing blowing bubbles
Our new big trick is to float on her back!  Most of the time, she wants to hold our hands but every once in a while, she'll let go and really float!  This just kinda came out of no where.  When her ears are under water, she'll babble and talk in different tones and just smile.
Lauren went to work with me one day this week for about 30 minutes.  One of my new 'machines' in the spa at work is CoolSculpt (it freezes your fat away).  We've been so busy with it lately, that my 2-day/week schedule was getting slammed!  So, I told one patient that I would come in on my day off and get her treatment done.  Naturally, I brought my assistant with me.
"mommy, I can't decide what service I want to get done... Oh dear..."
Sitting at the cosmetics bar and admiring all of the pretty colors
"Aunt Kay, you've GOT to see this!"

On Wednesday, we said "Bye Bye" to Dada as he left for a 5 day ski trip to Aspen, CO.  It was just us girls and we had a fun time having lots of mommy-daughter time.
Dada and Uncle Joey at one of the summits
We went to Chipley for the weekend to spend some time with Gigi and Pops for the remainder of Eric's trip.
Lauren loves playing outside with Pops...LOVES it.
On Saturday, we went to Tallahassee to be with Aunt Kay!
All dressed in her skinny jeans and black boots...of course.
We had lunch at our favorite little Mexican restaurant.
I asked Gigi and Kaitlin to "lean in" towards each other and Lauren starts to lean in toward Gigi...she wanted to be part of the picture too!  How dare I leave her out!  So we adjusted our picture to include all 3 girls.  And then she gave me her Big Lauren Smile!  She picks up on things so fast; I'm still amazed at how much she understands and does!
We found an indoor playground with bounce houses and decided to try it out.
"Aunt Kay!  We have to take our shoes off...I know this because this is like Wilder's World."

We had so much fun with you, Aunt Kay.  I can't wait for Mommy to take me back to see you!
1st bubble bath at Gigi's.  I turned on the jets...she wasn't scared at all!  I was a little surprised!
Sunday morning and ready for church

A visit with Grandaddy and Ganny
"Smile!"

It was so cold!  But that didn't stop Grandaddy from taking Lauren on a ride on the golf cart...her favorite thing to do at their house.

  1. I know I don't get to comment on the blog everytime, but I so thoroughly enjoy watching Lauren grow with each passing week on your blog. She's growing up so fast and doing so much. You guys do such a great job with her and you can tell how much she thrives with all the fun activities you expose her to and all the wonderful loving people she's surrounded by. That is so impressive that she sat through the whole movie at such a young age and here I was proud of Gabby doing so well in the same movie! I see you went with the same kitchen set as we did. We love ours. Don't you worry, Lauren may not be into just yet (because it's hers after all and it's much more fun to play in other people's play kitchens!) but be patient. She'll be pretending in her kitchen with all of her baby dolls in no time. We get the most use out of ours now and we got ours almost 2 year ago! We miss you! Hopefully we'll be able to pay you guys another visit soon.
